Mental Health Ride Coming To Rondeau

A fundraiser for Canadian Mental Health is expanding to Chatham-Kent.

Ride Don't Hide will be taking place on Sunday, June 24th at Rondeau Provincial Park.

Megan Walker, Mental Health Promotions Specialist for CMHA Lambton-Kent, says they've always wanted to bring the ride to Chatham.

"This year we decided, what better year than our 100th anniversary. We've got a great team of staff volunteers who have come out and helped to get this ride off the ground. One event, two great locations this year."

Walker says they've been hosting the event for five years in Mooretown.

"The event aims to raise awareness around mental health and reduce the stigma of mental illness. And so it's a fundraising event to help raise funds for CMHA's community mental health preventive education program."

Registration for the event, which including a 10K and 20K ride, and a 5K walk, is NOW OPEN.
