A Chatham man with a need for speed has been charged with stunt driving.

Police say on Friday at around 9:30am, an officer on general patrol noticed a vehicle driving fast on Bear Line Rd. The vehicle was recorded going 133 km/hr in a 80 km/hr zone.

A 25-year-old Chatham man was charged with stunt driving. His licence was suspended and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a couple break and enters that happened this week.

Police say sometime between Thursday at 9pm and Friday at 3pm, unknown suspect(s) went inside a residence in Wheatley and stole various items, including a leaf blower.

Police say on Friday after 5pm, officers responded to a break and enter at a residence on Taylor Ave. in Chatham.

According to police, unknown suspects(s) broke into the residence and stole various items.

Police say a boat was also stolen in Wallaceburg

Sometime between 1am and 6:30am on Friday, unknown suspect(s) stole a grey 20ft aluminum Lunn boat from a residence on Forhan St.
