Chatham Man Identified As Industrial Accident Victim

The OPP has released the name of the man killed in an industrial accident in Tecumseh last week.

Michael Cobb, 24, of Chatham died on Thursday of injuries sustained at Prestressed Systems Inc. on Walker Rd. north of Hwy. 401. A second man was hurt and taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The Ministry of Labour is still investigating the accident. A spokesperson says the investigation could take several days or even months.

Cobb was born in Chatham and attended school at King George VI Public School, Chatham-Kent Secondary School and St. Clair College.

He was the beloved son of Peter and Patty (Gilhuly) Cobb of Chatham.

Visitation is at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Monday, April 16, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.

The Funeral Service takes place at Blessed Sacrament Church, 145 Victoria Ave., Chatham, on Tuesday, April 17, at 11 am.
