Nationals Shutout Maroons 4-0 In Game 5

The Chatham Maroons were shutout 4-0 by the London Nationals in Game 5 on Wednesday.

After a scoreless first period, Brandon Glover and Derek Di Iorio both scored for the Nationals in the second to take the lead over Chatham.  James Turner and Riley MacRae each scored a power-play goal in the final frame to cap off the shutout win for London.

The Nationals also outshot the Maroons 34-27.

Maroons Captain Noah Bushnell says his team is looking forward to playing the next game on home ice.

"We play unbelievable in our own arena. All our fans really help us. We have a great fan base -- the energy provides us with energy," he says. "So coming back to our own rink, it's looking good us. We're confident."

London now leads the best-of-seven playoff series 3-2 and Chatham will be looking to stave off elimination in Game 6. The puck drops for Game 6 on Thursday at 7pm in Chatham.
