There's no rest for the weary if you're a member of the Chatham Maroons or the London Nationals.
The two teams will face off again Wednesday night in London for Game 5 of their second-round playoff series -- it's also their second game in two nights. Then, on Thursday, the Maroons and Nationals will meet again for the third night in a row for a crucial Game 6 back in Chatham.
Speaking after Chatham's win in Game 4 Tuesday, Maroons forward Josh King -- who scored the game-tying goal that capped off a Maroons' comeback from being down 3-1 in the game -- said the victory was a great way to kick off a span of the three games in three nights.
"It's definitely good to get a head-start here," said King. "Hopefully we can get one [Wednesday] and then steal a fourth one."
Wednesday's win also put to bed any lingering feelings of deja vu that some of the veteran Maroons players and staff may have had from last year's second-round playoff series against the London Nationals. The Maroons won Game 1 of that series, too, before losing four straight.
"I think this year, we just have more grit -- more of a well-built team," said King, who was also on the Maroons team that lost to London in the 2017 playoffs. "Last year was a lot of all-star guys and this year, we kind of have a full four lines that can crash and bang and also do some scoring."
