Electronics Thieves Target Two More Chatham Schools

Two schools in Chatham were broken into over the March Break.

Chatham-Kent police say somebody forced their way into Queen Elizabeth School on Eugenie St., causing about $300 in damage. Whoever did that, stole a Dell Laptop and a Chrome Book worth about $800.

King George VI School on Delaware Ave. was also broken into. Investigators say someone stole nine iPad Minis and a Dell Laptop worth approximately $6,000.

Those break-ins follow several similar cases that took place just over a year ago in Chatham.

In late February 2017, suspect(s) broke into Indian Creek Public School on two separate occasions and took several electronics worth approximately $1,400.

During that same week, John McGregor Secondary School was also broken into and about $25,000 worth of iPads, keyboards, laptops, and Google Chromebooks were stolen.
