Retro Suites Gives $20K To CTC Foundation

A Chatham hotel has donated $20,000 towards the new Children's Treatment Centre.

Retro Suites Hotel presented the Children's Treatment Centre (CTC) Foundation with a cheque for $20,000 for the Butterfly Building Campaign on Monday.

Retro Suites Hotel Manager Tina Childs says the donation is a great way to get involved in the building of the new centre.

"We all know a friend or family who has been affected and had to use these services so we really wanted to give back to a great cause," she says.

Childs says the money is going towards the foundation's ‘Over the Edge’ event coming up in June and the Butterfly Building Campaign.

"Both Retro Suites and the Chilled Cork are very involved in the community. We try to do whatever we can to give back," says Childs.

Shelby Sanchuk, CTC Foundation communications and fundraising manager, says it is always great to receive donations like these.

"The Children's Treatment Centre Foundation is really excited about our new partnership with the Retro Suites," says Sanchuk. "This is I think the first significant donation that they've made to the foundation and we're looking forward to this awesome partnership."

Sanchuk says the Butterfly Building Campaign has been coming along well and is receiving a lot of support from the community.
