Family Day Closures in Chatham-Kent

Family Day means some service changes and closures in Chatham-Kent.

That includes some healthcare services offered at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Routine X-rays, electro-cardiograms, and ultrasounds will not be available.

Ambulatory Care Services, Out-Patient Rehabilitation Services, Out-Patient Laboratory Services, Pre-Surgical Screening Services, the Diabetes Education Centre, the Pulmonary Function Lab, Health Records, and Patient Appointment Offices will also be closed. So will the Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program Out-Patient Department, Elston Pharmacy, the Oncology/Chemotherapy Department and the Business Office and Cashier’s Office.

As always, the Emergency Department is open 24/7.

A number of municipal services are also impacted by the holiday.

Garbage and recycling will be delayed by one day this week. The Harwich and Wallaceburg Transfer Stations will be closed, and all leaf and yard depots are closed.

Licensing services, the Chatham Cultural Centre Box Office, CK Transit, Public Health Clinic services, the PUC, and the Health and Family Services building are also shut down for the holiday.

Some things are open though.

All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library that are normally open on Mondays will be open. Administration offices will be closed.

All arenas will be open for their normal hours.

Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be open for FREE swims at 10:30 am-Noon, and 1-2:30 pm.

The Chatham Capitol Theatre will be open for movie showings at 10 am and 7 pm.
