A pair of fires kept local firefighters busy Monday.
Chatham-Kent fire crews were called to an apartment building on Park Ave. East in Chatham at around 10am Monday, where one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
A second call came in around 11am at a pig barn on Old Street Line near Blenheim, which is close to where a vacant farm house went up in flames last week.
Fire officials say 1,400 swine were inside the barn at the time of the fire, however, all of the pigs are okay. One worker was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The fire is being ruled as accidental. Damage is pegged at $20,000.#CKFES stations #18 -Blenheim & #14 - Erieau on scene at fire on Old Street Line in #Blenheim @CK_EMS & @CKPSMedia also on scene. pic.twitter.com/QQaE9HhvLe
