Tex-Mex Coming To North ChathamJanuary 27, 2018 6:01am
Quesada Burritos and Tacos is coming to Chatham.
The Tex-Mex restaurant will open its doors at 861 St. Clair Dr. in front of Walmart on Wednesday, January 31st.
“It’s kind of the southwestern style of Mexican food,” says Jeff Wilson, owner and operator of the Chatham franchise. “All fresh, we make everything in the store. So all the ingredients, from the spices, the recipes, everything, we roast our own tomatoes, we boil our own tomatillos, everything is done fresh in the store.”
Wilson says it all started when his daughters took him to a Quesada in Windsor about a year and a half ago.
“I love Mexican food, so they invited me to come to the one in Windsor. So I went there, really fell in love with the food, and then decided it was something I was interested in maybe doing.”
There are currently 92 Quesada locations across Canada.
Wilson says they received over 200 resumes and have hired 20 people so far, but they are still accepting resumes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Quesada is just the latest restaurant coming to the area. Late last year it was announced that Popeye’s Chicken and Starbucks were opening across the street in 2018.
A grand opening will take place in about six weeks.
