Police say back on Tuesday, January 16, the woman went into Shopper Drug Mart on Queen St. in Chatham and allegedly put $16 worth of cosmetics in her pocket, then left without paying.

Allegedly violating release conditions has landed a 25-year-old man in trouble with Chatham-Kent police.

The man was released from custody in November 2017 with the condition to live at a specific address in Chatham. But when officers stopped by on January 12, they learned he was no longer living there.

They also checked a previous address but his whereabouts were unknown, so a warrant was issued.

The suspect was found on Tuesday in a vehicle during a traffic stop. He was taken into custody and is facing two counts of failing to comply.
