The Chatham-Kent Police Service encourages everyone to come out to the municipality’s first ever POLAR Plunge Saturday morning.

All proceeds will directly benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

A Chatham man spent time behind bars after he allegedly stole a clock from a local store.

Police say on Thursday, a man stole a sports clock from a store at the Downtown Chatham Centre.

According to police, a 27-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

He was released pending a future court date of January 30.
