Break and Enters

Chatham-Kent police are looking for suspects after several break and enters since Friday.

The first break-in happened sometime between January 12 at 5pm and January 15 at 8am. Police say someone broke a window at St. Vincent Catholic School at McNaughton Ave and Prince Albert Rd. and stole a laptop.

The second break and enter occurred overnight between January 14 and January 15. Investigators say someone smashed the front glass doors of a restaurant on Queen St. and Tweedsmuir Ave. and stole a small amount of money. Damage is estimated at $2,000.

Then on Monday around noon, authorities say someone smashed the glass window of the front door at a home on Communication Rd. and took jewellery and electronics. Damage is estimated at $300 but the value of the stolen items has yet to be determined. The suspect(s) left in a black car with a long red light along the rear top of the trunk.
