Woman Charged With Assault

A 20-year-old Thamesville woman has been charged with assault following a disturbance at an apartment complex.

Police say it happened Sunday night on London Rd. in Thamesville and involved three people. Investigators say a woman assaulted a man but he only suffered minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.

Woman Charged with Possession of Drugs

Drug charges have been laid against a 29-year-old Wallaceburg woman.

The woman was released from custody in September with conditions, including reporting to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters every Monday. The woman allegedly failed to report January 8 and an arrest warrant was issued. She was arrested in Wallaceburg Sunday afternoon and officers allegedly found drugs on her during a search. She’s charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Man Charged with Theft

Chatham-Kent police say a Chatham man has been charged with two counts of theft and possession of stolen property.

Police say the 27-year-old was arrested early Monday morning on Thames St.

The charges stem from an incident in September. Investigators say a man entered a vehicle parked in a driveway on Chicory Crt. in Chatham, stole a purse and used a credit card at a variety store on Grand Ave. W. to make two purchases, totalling $127.
