More Drugs Seized In Chatham

There’s been another drug bust in Chatham.

It’s the second one in the last two days.

Police say officers searched a home on Forest St. Thursday night and seized methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, multiple digital scales with drug residue, drug packaging material, a large amount of surveillance equipment, and money. Investigators say the total street value of the drugs was over $2,400. A Jeep Liberty was also seized.

A 29-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Police say the man was released from custody in April with conditions to stay away from the consumption or possession of drugs. He was also charged with failing to comply.
