Assault Witnesses Sought
Chatham-Kent police are looking for witnesses to an alleged assault in Chatham.
Police say an altercation between two men occurred at the bus stop on Richmond St. near the Beer Store on January 4. The two men were on the bus and got off at that stop.
Investigators want to speak with any witnesses on Bus 4 of the City Transit System that day, who could provide any information. Contact Constable Ian Scoyne at email@example.com or call 519-436-6600 ext. 87292.
Three people from Chatham have been charged with weapons offences.
Police say the charges stem from a disturbance on December 30 involving a handful of people with weapons inside and outside of a home on Edgar St. in Chatham.
Nobody was hurt.
A 47-year-old Chatham woman and a 21-year-old Chatham man turned themselves in to police on Tuesday morning. A 26-year-old Chatham man was charged on January 5.
The woman was under conditions not to associate with one of the men and both were not to be in possession of any type of weapon.
The three suspects are charged with possession of a weapon.
