A man was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at a Chatham store.

Police say on Saturday at around 5pm, a man was caught shoplifting by store security at Canadian Tire in Chatham.

Officers came and arrested a 44-year-old man for theft. He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and held for bail.

A man spent time behind bars after a stolen car from Windsor was found in Wallaceburg.

Police received reports that a vehicle was parked on the shoulder on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg on Saturday.

According to police, officers responded to the suspicious vehicle complaint just before midnight.

It was later discovered that the vehicle was stolen from Windsor.

A 31-year-old man was arrested and released with a future court date.

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman for failing to obey her bail conditions.

Police say a 35-year-old woman was arrested on St. Clair St. in Chatham around 11pm on Saturday for breaching her bail conditions.

According to police, the woman was arrested because she went to a specific residence that she was ordered not to.

The woman was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
