Grand Slam of Curling Tickets On Sale

Hurry hard!

Tickets are now on sale for the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling event, which is coming to the Thames Campus Arena in Chatham next fall.

The Princess Auto Elite 10 event will run from September 25-30, and will feature the top men's and women's teams in the world.

"This is a new format and it will have the Olympic champions and the world champions," says chairperson Fred Rose. "Everybody who's ranked in the top 10 will have the opportunity to come here, so it's going to be a fantastic field."

Rose says the event will be great for Chatham-Kent's economy.

"On the average, the Grand Slam of Curling, when it visits a town, drops about $1.3-million into the local economy. So it's a great opportunity for local business to get involved and get some real benefit for their businesses."

Chatham landed the event after officials visited the arena.

"They came and they looked at our facilities, and they thought we could run it here, and the rest is history," says Rose. "We had a lot of support from the city. We can't say enough about the support we got from the city. It's going to be a big impact on our local economy and surely Chatham is going to be buzzing in September of next year."

Tickets are on sale now until February 28 at the early bird price of $150 for a full event pass. For more information on the event, or to purchase tickets, CLICK HERE.
