Grinch On The Loose In CK

The Chatham-Kent Salvation Army is looking for a Christmas Grinch who stole a car full of toys.

Captain Karen Holland says a Family Services worker in Wallaceburg had his car stolen on Thursday afternoon and it was full of newly donated toys and blankets.

Holland calls it unfortunate and hopes those items can be replaced.

"We've had a really good response from the public so far. We've already had toys dropped off, which is awesome," says Holland.

Holland says the Salvation Army has been packing Christmas toys all week and hopes the employee gets his car back soon.

Holland says the community response to replace the toys has been very swift and very generous.

"Already people are stepping up to help us out in this situation and I just want to thank the whole community for their support so far this year with their Christmas kettles and the toys and such. Yeah, everybody has been great," Holland says.
