Snowfall Warning In Effect

There's a snowfall warning in effect for Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex.

Environment Canada says about 15 cm of snow is expected to fall on Wednesday. Weather officials say snow will become heavy at times in the afternoon and move eastward. The snow is expected to end near midnight, however, a few flurries or local snow squalls are possible south of Lake Huron early on Thursday.

Environment Canada is warning people to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots could become difficult to navigate due to accumulating and blowing snow.

Drivers are advised to slow down if visibility is reduced, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
