Thamesville Company Celebrates 40th Anniversary

A Canadian company based out of Thamesville is celebrating 40 years in the Chatham-Kent community.

Erickson Manufacturing President Brent Erickson says he recently hosted an anniversary party for family, friends, and staff to celebrate the company's strong presence in the community.

"We're not only in Chatham-Kent, but all of Canada. We've been building the brand for 40 years and trying to build it on quality. We have a lot of followers that support the Erickson brand. They know it's going to be good and they can depend on it to hold their load in place," says Erickson.

Erickson says his business helps customers "tie it, tow it, and load it."

"We do tie-down straps, loading ramps, hitch haulers, and we also do a full line of tarps...so we try to stay in that category,"says Erickson.

Erickson says the business was even expanded to the U.S. 25 years ago, when a facility was built in Marine City, Michigan.

According to Erickson, the company's main facility is still in Chatham-Kent and all of their products get shipped to various locations across Canada from there.

He says he currently has a staff of about 25 workers, including his three daughters and two grandsons.
