A man spent time behind bars after peeing outside a Chatham pub.

Police say on Friday, officers found a man peeing in front of the Elephant’s Nest Bar on King St. W. in Chatham.

According to police, the man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

He taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and held until he became sober.

Chatham-Kent police broke up a fight between four men Friday night.

Police responded to a call on Friday in regards to a fight between four men on Lorne Ave. in Chatham.

According to police, one of the men was arrested for assault and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters.

He was released with a future court date.

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen from a Merlin residence.

Police say sometime on Monday, a 2003 John Deer Backhoe Model 310 was stolen from a residence on Talbot Trail.

The value of the vehicle is estimated at $50,000.
