Assault Charges

Another Chatham woman has been assaulted and the man accused of doing it has been arrested.

Police say the 34-year-old Chatham man went to her house on Sunday and allegedly kicked the door as she attempted to close it, hitting her in the head.  The suspect fled but turn himself in to police Thursday morning.

He was released from custody in July with orders to avoid communicating with the woman and to stay away from her home.

He’s charged with assault, mischief, and failing to comply.

Driving While Under Suspension

A 24-year-old Wheatley man has been arrested and charged with driving with a suspended licence.

Police say they stopped a vehicle on Marlborough St. N and Talbot St. W in Blenheim on Wednesday at 11pm and charged the man with possession of break and enter tools.
