CK Companies Host Food And Toy DriveNovember 28, 2017 6:07am
Two local businesses are hosting a food and toy drive this week to make sure everyone in Chatham-Kent celebrates Christmas with a full stomach and gifts under the tree.
Realty Connects and Apollo General Contracting will be accepting non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys at both of their locations between 8am and 5pm until Friday. All food and toys will be donated to the Salvation Army.
On Wednesday, the businesses will also be hosting a complimentary luncheon between 11am and 2pm at both locations.
Realty Connects Office Manager Michelle Seller says it is something the two companies have been doing for the past seven years.
“It is something that is dear to our hearts. We would like to be able to contribute to the community as much as possible and this is one of the best ways that we know we can do that,” says Seller.
Seller says the two companies are trying to make Chatham-Kent a better place and make sure everyone has a great Christmas.
“We are in the real estate business so we are out selling houses and we want to be able to give back to the community for helping us. As well as with the Apollo General Contracting team, there are different businesses that partake in that as well and they help keep [us] thriving. With that being said, we want to make sure we give back where we can,” says Seller.
Seller says the partnership between the two companies, which are both owned by Fred Naclerio, works well for the drive, because then they have drop-off locations in both Chatham and Blenheim.
Apollo General Contracting is located at 186 Chatham St. N in Blenheim and Realty Connects is located at 419 St. Clair St. in Chatham.
