Union Gas Raises Over $1M For United Way

United Way agencies across Ontario are receiving a significant funding boost, thanks to the year-long efforts of Union Gas employees and retirees.

Union Gas announced on Monday that the natural gas company has raised a total of $1,009,476, as part of its year-long "We Give Today, To Improve Tomorrow" campaign. A big chunk of that is going to the United Way of Chatham-Kent with employees in the municipality raising $600,026 for the United Way.

"At Union Gas we are proud of being active members in the communities we serve and working with our community partners to help improve the lives of individuals and families," says Union Gas President Steve Baker. "Every year, our employees and retirees put their heart and soul into the campaign. They demonstrate their strong commitment to our communities and work hard to raise funds to support the United Way and the work they do to improve the quality of life for people in need."

Every dollar donated by employees during numerous fundraising events was matched by Union Gas, and will be donated to United Ways across Ontario.
