Police Briefs – Monday, November 20, 2017

A Highgate couple is in trouble after allegedly threatening a man in Ridgetown.

Police say the pair made the threats towards the man from their vehicle at an intersection around 3pm on Sunday, November 12.

A 52-year-old woman and 58-year-old man were arrested and charged with uttering threats.

The man was also charged with driving while under suspension and failing to comply because he was under conditions not to talk to the man he is accused of threatening.

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a couple of break and enters.

Back on November 15, police say the attached garage of a home under construction was broken into on Indian Creek Rd. in Chatham. Tools valued at $400 were taken, but the homeowner didn’t realize they there gone until yesterday.

Then in Tupperville, electronics were stolen from a home on Kent Line on Sunday between 9:15 am and 2 pm. The television and laptop are worth $400.

Anyone with information about either theft is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
