Residents who are looking for a job, or perhaps looking to change career paths can soon get that extra nudge in the right direction.
The Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board will host a free symposium on Wednesday, in light of November being "Career Exploration Month".
Those who attend the event can expect to interact with others, hear about what employers expect to see when hiring, and hear personal stories from people working in different fields.
“I have been delighted -- but not surprised, by the response of the employers while planning this event," says Project Manager Kristy Jacobs in a media release. "They are wonderfully receptive to the idea of educating our workforce, and helping them prepare for success in their job searches!”
The free event will be taking place at Studio One in Chatham, from 9:30am-1:30pm.
