Police are investigating after batteries were stolen from vehicles in Chatham.

Police say sometime between 5:30pm on Thursday and 5:30am on Friday, unknown suspect(s) entered a fenced compound at 28 McGregor Place. Once inside, police say the suspects removed 12 batteries from vehicles, as well as copper wire.

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on warrants.

According to police, officers found a man at the Chatham Courthouse that was wanted on outstanding warrants from Guelph Police Service.

Police say Guelph Police went to police headquarters to take the man into custody.

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after an acetylene tank was stolen from a business.

Police say sometime overnight on Saturday, unknown suspects stole an acetylene tank from the Auto Parts Centre on 80 Richmond St. in Chatham.

According to police, the tank is worth $300.00.
