Ford U.S Director To Speak In Chatham

A top businesswoman in the automotive industry will be speaking in Chatham this week to celebrate 30 years of women in Rotary.

Dianne Craig, former CEO of Ford Canada and the current director of Ford U.S., will be headlining the Rotary Club Of Chatham's 78th Annual Banquet on Thursday.

"It's a fundraiser that the Chatham rotary club has done for many years and has attracted people like Peter Mansbridge in the past," says Don "Sparky" Leonard, past president of the Rotary Club of Chatham. "It's the number one fundraiser that allows Rotary to strive to do good in the community."

Leonard says Craig is a perfect guest speaker for the event.

"The Rotary Club was trying to find a woman who has excelled in business, since we are celebrating our 30 years of women in Rotary. Dianne Craig was instrumental in taking a leadership role as director of U.S sales," says Leonard.

Rotary Club of Chatham President Tania Sharpe says she is looking forward to having such an important business woman at the event.

“To have someone of Dianne’s calibre join us for our banquet is an honour, especially considering the important role Chatham-Kent has played in the automotive sector. I know she is going to give a very interesting and informative talk,” says Sharpe.

The banquet will take place on Thursday, November 2 at 5:30pm at the John D. Bradley Centre in Chatham. Tickets are $60 and available by calling the Rotary Office at (519)-354-8300 or emailing ChathamONRotary@gmail.com.
