Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man after a concerned citizen heard a window being smashed downtown.

On Sunday at around 10:30pm, a citizen told police they heard a window being smashed near the downtown Chatham parking arcade.

Through investigation, police discovered that a downtown business had its window broken and a man was arrested shortly after. The man was eventually released from custody with a future court date.

A Chatham man has been arrested for failing to obey court-ordered conditions.

Monday at around 2am, police noticed a 34-year-old Chatham man walking on Wellington St. in Chatham. Police discovered the man has a court-ordered curfew and was not supposed to be out at that time.

The man was arrested for failing to comply with his court-ordered conditions and taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters to be held for a bail hearing.
