Police are looking for information about an SUV that has been stolen from a Chatham residence.

Police say sometime overnight between Thursday and Friday, unknown suspects stole a 2005 GMC Yukon SUV from a residence on Base Line. The vehicle is white with several rust spots. It was last seen with Ontario licence plates BSMY 504.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chatham-Kent police at 519-436-6600. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Police are looking for culprits in the theft of several tools and items from cars.

Police say sometime overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, unknown suspects stole power tools from a vehicle parked at a residence on Duart Rd. in Orford Township. According to police, a Black & Decker 18V drill, a Black & Decker circular saw, and a Dewalt drill bit set have been taken.

On Thursday evening, police say a Garmin golf GPS was also stolen from a vehicle on Poplar St. in Chatham.

On the same street, a duffle bag of items was stolen from another vehicle. The duffle bag contained racing gear, a tent, a hunting knife, and a Bluetooth radio.

A Chatham man has been arrested for not following the conditions of his release.

On July 12, a man was released on bail with a condition to remain in his residence at all times. Friday at around 11pm, an officer noticed the man walking down Fourth St. in Chatham.

A 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with breaching conditions. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Police have arrested two Chatham men wanted on warrants.

On June 13, a man was found guilty of several property-related offences and placed on a probation order. One of his probation conditions was to notify his probation officer of any address changes.

On September 26, police tried to locate the man at his residence for a separate investigation and found that he was no longer living there. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On July 25, police say a different man broke into a business on Heritage Rd. in Chatham and stole a number of items. He was identified through video surveillance at the business and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Friday, officers responded to a call on Pine St. in Chatham. Police say officers found both of these men inside the residence and placed them under arrest.

A 52-year-old Chatham man was arrested for breach of probation. A 31-year old-Chatham man was arrested for theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. They were both held in custody for bail hearings.
