Farming Legends Inducted

The Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame is growing.

Seven more people will be inducted November 14, including Jack Beardall, founder of CFCO radio in Chatham and John Jordan, former broadcaster at CKSY.

The others are Jean Marie and Lucille Laprise, farming innovators from Dover, Dave and Brenda Baute, founders of Maizex Seeds in Tilbury and Harry Forbes, a Tilbury East farmer who fought for farming in the Janettes Creek area.

The hall has inducted 182 members since 1989.

The induction ceremony takes place at Country View Golf Course beginning at 11:30am.

Tickets are $25 per person.
