Assault Charges

A dust up in Dresden has landed a woman in hot water.

A 33-year-old Dresden woman has been charged with two counts of assault after a couple of fights at a home in DresdenĀ on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 6pm.

Police say the woman was allegedly involved in two separate physical altercations with a man and a woman that she knows.

Investigators say the two victims reported minor injuries.

Break-in Charges

An alert citizen gets an assist after police charged a 30-year-old Chatham man.

Chatham-Kent police say a report of a suspicious person has led to charges of break and enter and possession of break-in tools against the suspect.

Investigators say on Tuesday just after midnight, officers saw discarded clothing and break and enter tools in the area of Fielder Ave. in Chatham when they arrived.

They found the man sitting in the front yard of a home on Poplar St and arrested him.

Items Stolen

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is investigating a break-in where a riding lawn mower, a push mower, and a
barbecue were reported stolen.

Crime Stoppers says suspects broke into a home on Groves Mill Line in Thamesville sometime during the week of September 16-21. Evidence shows that a pickup truck had gone through a field to get onto the property.

The total value of the stolen items is pegged at $2,500.
