Maroons Visit Stars Friday Night

The Chatham Maroons will hit the road again for their second game in three nights as they take on the Stars in St. Thomas Friday.

Chatham forward Dane Johnstone, who played with the Stars last season, says he's looking forward to playing against his old club for the first time since he joined the Maroons.

"I played with [St. Thomas] when I was 16 and I played with them a bit last year, it'll obviously be a bit competitive for me because I want to get the win," says Johnstone. "I have buddies on that team from last year, but you play them like a normal competitor... it should be really good."

Johnstone says one of the keys for the Maroons will be to get off to a faster start than they did in London on Wednesday.

"We came out flat in the first period and [the Nationals] were able to get five on us," says Johnstone. "We came out hard in the second and we were all over them there and they couldn't compete with us and then they evened it out in the third."

You can hear tonight's game on Country 92.9FM / 630AM CFCO or online by clicking here.

Puck drop is set for 7:30pm at the Timken Community Centre Arena.
