The newly chosen 2017-2018 Ontario Queen of the Furrow isn't a stranger to Chatham-Kent.
Halton’s Kailey Donaldson, who was crowned on Friday at the 100th International Plowing Match and Rural Expo near Walton, was a University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus graduate.
Donaldson lives with her family on a small hobby farm near Acton. She works at an equipment dealership as a service writer.
Chatham-Kent is the host of the next plowing match in September 2018. Donaldson says she's looking forward to the opportunity to serve as Queen of the Furrow for a plowing match in a region that she’s very familiar with.
