The generosity of a long-time animal lover has helped to provide upgrades to the Wallaceburg Animal Control Shelter.
The facility on Arnold St. recently completed interior renovations for two new quarantine kennels, a dog wash, and fencing of a new outdoor area. As well, mechanical work was completed and included a new HVAC system and air conditioning.
The renovations were made possible by the late Jean Shirley Carscallen, who bequeathed $81,046.33 to the Wallaceburg animal shelter.
Enough public donations were also received to cement a large outdoor area where the new fencing was added.
