Safety demonstrations, children's activities and a parade will also take place.

Co-Chair Brent DeNure says there will be great musical entertainment and he expects about 15,000 people to attend.

"Fire Sound, a group of firefighters from Toronto who come down and play on the main stage, which is in the heart of downtown. They'll play a lot of fire themed songs. Ring of Fire, The House is Burning Down, Light My Fire and what not," says DeNure.

The event runs from 10am until 4pm followed by the downtown parade.

This year's parade winds down King St. to Merritt Ave. to Riverview Dr. to Keil Dr. and ends at the Thames Lea Plaza.

Jarod Schiefer of Boonies Drive-In in Tilbury says the original Ghostbusters movie will be shown on Friday night and the first 175 cars will get in free courtesy of St. Clair College Alumni Association.

"We're actually going to have overnight camping for that night too. We usually only do it on Saturday nights but since it's for this event, we'll have overnight camping," Schiefer says.

Karen Flannagan of St. Clair College says the extremely popular junior F.I.R.E. challenge course will be back again this year where children perform like real firefighters.

"Not only because it's a great attraction but it also gives us the opportunity to plant seeds of excellence in emergency services for future St. Clair alumni," says Flannagan.
