Several Services Will Shut Down For Labour Day

Only a few services in the community will be open this Labour Day Monday.

Emergency Departments at both of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's (CKHA) locations will be open. However, routine x-rays, ultrasounds, and labs will not be running non-emergent patients.

The Elston Pharmacy at the CKHA's Chatham location will also be closed.

Municipal offices and most services will be closed for the last long weekend of the summer.

The Public Health Clinic in Chatham will be closed, as will the Health and Family Services building.

All public libraries will be closed, but they will be back to normal hours on Tuesday.

Entegrus and the Public Utilities Commission are also shut down for the holiday.

Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day and the Transfer stations in Chatham , Wallaceburg, and Harwich will all be closed.

If you're looking for something to do, the Thames Art Gallery, Chatham-Kent Museum, Milner Heritage House and Ridge House Museum will all be open from 1pm–5pm. However, most arenas and pools will be closed, with the exception of the Memorial Arena, which is open for scheduled rentals.

Regular CK Transit will not be running. Since this is the last weekend of summer, the Seasonal Bus Route will be running, but it won't be free.
