Positivity Starts With Neighbour Monday

The Twelve Days of Positivity kicks off this Labour Day Monday with "Neighbour Day".

Organizer Darrin Canniff says there are several events scheduled and they have $11,000 worth of prizes to give away.

"There's going to be events happening each and every day in Chatham-Kent from small to big," says Canniff. "Various organizations are going to be stepping up on the different days to do things."

For Monday's "Neighbour Day" theme, Canniff says they're encouraging people to interact with those who live nearby and offer to do something nice for them.

"We got a lot of great events happening so get out there and participate because it's all about attitude," says Canniff. "You can choose to be positive, you can choose to be negative -- we want everybody to choose positivity."

In addition to participating in the events and keeping a positive attitude, people are also being asked to share their positive stories or messages.

Twelve Days of Positivity wraps up on Sept. 15th with Positivity Day.
