Two Lucky CK Boys Living The Hockey Dream

Two Chatham-Kent Cyclones will be representing our area at a global hockey tournament in Sweden and Finland over the next ten days.

10-year-old Xandre Aitken and 10-year-old Lucas Kirchner along with the other 15 players on the team leave July 21 and go right to practice once they land.

Aitken says he's looking forward to the tours and hopes he bumps into his hockey hero.

"I want to see my favourite hockey player who lives in Stockholm, Sweden...Niklas Kronwall," says Aitken.

Both boys say they're the envy of their friends and team mates.

The boys will spend four days in Stockholm and another four days in Helsinki with an overnight cruise from one city to the other and guided tours.

Kirchner says he didn't believe it at first but it feels good to be invited.

"I thought they were playing a really big joke on me," Kirchner says.

Kirchner says sight seeing and playing hockey will be the highlights of his trip.

"The tours and the opportunity to play against other countries," says Kirchner.
