Police Briefs – July 16, 2017

Police say expensive tools were stolen from a shed just outside of Wheatley.

According to police, sometime overnight on Friday unknown suspects entered a small shed at a residence under construction on Talbot Trail.

Police say the unknown suspects stole a variety of construction tools valued at approximately $1,500. The investigation is ongoing.

Police arrested a Chatham man for public intoxication.

At approximately 3:38 am on Sunday, police found the man on St. Clair St. highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The man was transported to The Chatham-Kent Police Service and will be released when sober.
