The province is holding hearings this month on the pending minimum wage hike.

The closest hearings to Chatham are being held in Windsor on July 14 and London on July 17.

The Windsor hearing is at the St Clair College Centre for the Arts and the London hearing is at the Delta Armouries Hotel.

Both hearings run from 9:30am until 5:30pm with a lunch break.

The deadline to apply to make a presentation in Windsor is July 4 at 10am.

The deadline to apply to make a presentation in London is July 10 at 10am.

If approved, the minimum wage is jumping to $15 an hour beginning January 1, 2019.

Rick Nicholls, Chatham-Kent-Essex MPP, urges his constituents to make their voices heard.

“This legislation affects each and every one of us in Ontario. It does not matter whether you are an employee or an employer or whether you work in the agricultural, manufacturing, small or big business sector. As your MPP, I strongly encourage all businesses and employees to participate in these hearings," says Nicholls.
