Hospital Officials Address CKHA's 'Recovery Plan'

Several key management officials with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) will be laying out the hospital's "Recovery Plan" Tuesday afternoon.

The CKHA is recovering from what is being called a "precarious financial situation" that was caused by the health alliance operating at a deficit for many years.

Hospital officials say the recovery plan they have in place will "ensure that the organization follows best practices and achieves performance equivalent to peer hospitals."

Members of the media will be taking part in an informal discussion with key staff members Tuesday, June 26 at 3:30pm to discuss the plan.

Those expected to be in attendance from the hospital include: CKHA President and CEO Lori Marshall, Hospital Supervisor Rob Devitt, Chief of Staff Dr. Pervez Faruqi, and Program Medical Director of Emergency Medicine Dr. Anthony Dixon.
