The LCBO is extending its hours at select locations across Ontario this coming weekend ahead of a potential strike by unionized workers.
Bargaining is underway between the LCBO and OPSEU officials, but the union will be in a strike position as of 12:01am Monday, June 26.
With that strike date looming, the LCBO is urging customers to shop in advance of Sunday, June 25 if possible.
Store hours are being extended across the province from Thursday, June 22 to Saturday, June 24 with select locations opening as early as 9am and closing as late as 11pm.
The LCBO is also extending its Sunday hours to open from as early as 11am to as late as 6pm at select stores on June 25. Some of the stores in Toronto will also be open from 9am to 11pm on June 25 to support Toronto's Pride activities.
Closed For Canada Day, Holiday Monday
All LCBO stores will be closed on Saturday, July 1 and the Canada Day statutory holiday on Monday, July 3.
As a result of those closures, select stores will also be open for extended hours on Sunday, July 2. Some locations will be open as early as 9am to as late as 11pm on that day to accomodate customers.
