Does local beer taste better than other beer?
You can find out at the Sons of Kent Brewing Company grand opening this weekend.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Saturday at 1pm.
Tim Copeland, one of the four partners, says there are plenty of surprises this weekend including two new craft brews being unveiled.
"One of them is a golden ale, it's one of the beers we started out with but it's never been on tap in the tap room. Some people have and that before at some beer events that we've done. Craft beer festivals and things like that but it's never been offered here," says Copeland.
The other partners are Colin Chrysler, Alf Hunter and Doug Hunter.
The brewery is at the old, iconic Chatham Cinema on Adelaide at King.
Copeland says local celebrities like former NHL'er Todd Warriner, current NHL'er T J Brody and a surprise wrestling celebrity will be at the ribbon cutting.
"It's going to be a star studded event. All of us personally have people coming from all corners of the country," Copeland says.
Copeland says fathers are welcome this weekend.
"We'll be doing tours on Father's Day. So, it's a great day to bring your dad down, have a beer and see how the brewing operation works," says Copeland.
