Getting A Sense From Youth

The municipality is looking to hear from youth members in Chatham-Kent.

During the month of June, those in the ages of 15-39, are being asked to take part in a "Power of Young People" survey.

The project, led by the Community Attraction and Promotion’s Resident Attraction and Retention, is set to find out what young people like to do in the community and what they'd like to see more of.

The feedback from the survey will be used to update data taken from the 2012 survey. It will also be used to help in the effort to gain attraction and retention in  the community.

The 2012 survey focused on four areas, generating 1,092 responses. The topics looked at were employment, entrepreneurship, education, and exchange and interaction.

Paper copies of the 2017 survey can be picked up at local libraries and the Civic Centre. The survey is also available online at surveymonkey.com.

Once the survey findings are compiled, they can be found at www.livingCK.ca.
