Classic Cars To Make Stop In CK On Coast To Coast Tour

The Canadian Coast to Coast Classic Vehicle Tour will be making a special stop in Chatham in celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary, and the car show's 50th tour.

The tour will be stopping for one night only on July 27 from 5pm to 8pm at the Chatham Kent Children's Safety Village in the C.M. Wilson Conservation Area. Over 100 classic cars will be on display.

Barb Lovell, the executive director of the Chatham-Kent Children's Safety Village, says the event is a perfect way to celebrate the two anniversaries.

"This event is open to the public, we encourage everyone to come out. What we're really hoping to do is illustrate some good old southern hospitality and show this group how much we appreciate them stopping for one night in Chatham-Kent," says Lovell.

Lovell is asking for sponsors and donations to support the event.

"We're encouraging all the dignitaries of Chatham-Kent, as well as council and any car enthusiasts, this is one of a kind [and] this isn't an annual thing. This is a trip of a lifetime for most of the people going," she adds.

The classic cars owners will be driving from the west coast all the way to the east coast for the tour.
