Victoria Day Closures

There are some closures and service delays residents in Chatham-Kent should note this Victoria Day.

All municipal offices and several services will be closed on May 22. Public libraries within the municipality will be closed on Monday, but will resume their regular schedule on Tuesday.

CK Transit will not be running during the holiday, however, the Seasonal Interurban Transit will be operational. It’ll run from 9am–8pm, serving the Chatham, Erieau and Mitchell’s Bay area.

Garbage and recycling collection will be pushed back a day for the week of May 22.

If you’re looking for something to do during the holiday, a couple of arenas and museums will be open. The William K. Erickson and Thames Campus Arenas will be open for scheduled bookings. Meanwhile, the Thames Art Gallery, Chatham-Kent Museum, Ridge House Museum, and Milner Heritage House will be open from 1pm-5pm on Monday.

There are also some service changes to note at both of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's sites.

Routine X-rays, electrocardiograms (EKG), and ultrasounds will not be available. Most of the outpatients services will not be running, nor will many labs and offices.

However, emergency departments at the Chatham and Sydenham campus will be operational, as are other emergency services such as police, fire, and EMS.
