May is Community Living Month and the Chatham-Kent branch is celebrating.
People are being encouraging everyone to wear blue and green to show their support.
"The month celebrates the accomplishments, gifts, and talents, that people who have an intellectual disability, bring to their community." says Angela Corso, Manager of Community Relations. "And everyone advocates for that inclusion."
"[Tuesday] we have our flag raising and barbecue, and that's at the Civic Centre patio," says Nicole Roeszler, supervisor of volunteers and events. "We have the awards at 11am with the barbecue, so everyone is welcome to come out for that."
