Van Kesteren Wants To Share Canada Day Details

Chatham-Kent-Leamington MP Dave Van Kesteren is looking to promote events for Canada's 150th.

Van Kesteren says he'll be sending out information pamphlets to let residents know about upcoming events.

"This'll be an excellent way to get that information to every household in the riding," he says.

Van Kesteren is asking for organizers to send details about planned celebrations to his office so that they can be added to the information packets.

"This [pamphlet] will be coming out at the end of May so we'll need this information by the end of April," he says. "We've compiled quite a list already. There's a lot of good stuff taking place."

Van Kesteren says he plans on spending Canada Day travelling around the Chatham-Kent-Leamington area, trying to make it to as many events as possible.

"We find that July 1 and Remembrance Day are our two busiest days but we're looking forward to it," he says. "It should be a great time."

To send event details for the pamphlet, email or call Van Kesteren's office at (519) 358-7555 or dave.vankesteren@parl.gc.ca.
